The North Peace Navigators will be entering our seventeenth season in the NWJHL and our mandate remains the same; we want to be an assett to our community. We take our position in the community very seriously and we take great pride in giving back to our community.
Over the last sixteen seasons we have achieved a great deal of success on the ice, but we also take great pride in the success we have achieved off the ice. We have participated in many local events, served at local schools and have encouraged our players to become positive role models in our community.
In order for us to reach our financial goals we need to raise $250,000. All of our corporate packages are flexible and we can customize any package to meet your company's needs and budget. We look forward to the possibility of working with you in the upcoming season and thank you in advance for your continued support of Junior Hockey in the Peace River area.

On behalf of the North Peace Navigators we would like to extend to you an invitation to attend the Navs Main Camp 2016 taking place on September 9th to 11th. This will be our SEVETEENTH season in the exciting NWJHL. We have been a team that has achieved a lot of success in our previous sixteen seasons. We have won 6 NWJHL title’s, been to the league finals 12 times, been to provincials 9 times and this past season went to the Western Canadian Finals.
As a Navigator you will be developed in three areas; athletically, academically and socially. We are able to achieve this through efficient practices with a coaching staff committed to developing you into a complete all round player. We believe we have the perfect recipe to help you achieve what ever your athletic goals are. Whatever path you choose we have the connections to get you to the next level.
It is also our mission to help you achieve your academic or career goals. We have many connections in the work force as well as two quality high schools and a post secondary campus for those interested in post secondary education. We feel that your performance off the ice is just as important as your performance on the ice.
We have been able to achieve a great deal of success by doing two things:

The North Peace Navigators have hired Sheldon Szmata to take up the position of Head Coach for the Navigators for the 2016-2017 season.
Sheldon brings a wealth of Hockey and Coaching experience to the Navigators organization. Sheldon played his Minor Hockey in Grimshaw and went on to play in the WHL, AJHL, as well as Minor Professional Hockey. He Coached the Grimshaw Huskies to one of their most successful seasons in years as he coached them in the 2015-2016 Season.
It was necessary to find a new Head Coach after Craig Fox was unable to continue in the position because of changes in his work situation. Craig led the Navs to their most successful season in the team’s history winning the Bronze Medal at Westerns as well as winning the teams 3rd consecutive League Championship, and Provincial Gold.
“I believe Sheldon’s experience, work ethic, and desire for professionalism make him an excellent choice as Head Coach for our team. We strive to be the best organization in the League, the Province and now Western Canada. He will help us to continue that tradition in our desire to “Build Young Men of Character” through Hockey, said Albert Cooper team President.
Sheldon Szmata said “I am pleased to join an organization like the Navs that have one of the best reputations and records in Alberta Jr B hockey. I hope to be able to build on that record as we help develop young men’s opportunities and skills on and off the ice.”
